Notice to Seniors Seniors please be proactive and pay your fines before graduation practice on the 22nd of May. You will not receive your cap and gown.Check in the Financial Office to see what fines you owe. Seniors please report to the gym at 7:45 a.m. on graduation morning. Be in your seats for attendance.
Dates: Graduation is on Thursday at May 24th at 10:00 am. There are no tickets required, you may bring as many people as you would like to. Graduation is a dignified ceremony, please no bull horns or confetti. There are maps available in the main office.
The senior BBQ is on Tuesday May 22nd from 11:00-12:30. The cost is $5.00 and may be purchased in the school store. It is right before the mandatory practice from12:30-2:30. Jostens will be handing out the graduation robes that were ordered.
If you did not get a senior packet that includes the following information: after prom, senior wall, baccalaureate please come to the main office.
Yearbook Distribution Information
Get excited Panthers! Yearbook distribution time is here for the first time ever in the spring! Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors will receive their pre-ordered yearbook in their Language Arts class on Friday, March 18th. Seniors will be able to pick up their pre-ordered yearbook (ID Required) following Field Follies on the 18th outside of the two library side doors. All students must pay their library fines, and seniors must pay their fines with the office before they can receive their book. We have a limited supply of extra books, which will be sold first come, first served at the school store on March 18th from 11-12, and the week of the 22nd all day. Don’t miss out on seeing yourself and your friends in this year’s yearbook!
Yearbook Distribution Information
If you were not able to pick up your yearbook on Friday, May 18th, come to the school store every day, all day the week of May 21st. To pick up your yearbook, you must bring an ID and have all your library fines paid, and seniors must pay their office fines. Seniors can also pick up their books at the senior barbeque. We have a limited supply of extra books, which will be sold first come, first served at the school store for $75. Don’t miss out on seeing yourself and your friends in this year’s yearbook!
Prom 2012 is May 18th.
Tickets can be purchased in the school store all day. New this year, students can buy their tickets ONLINE using the Pay School website. Students MUST have a printed copy of their receipt, with their name clearly identified, to gain entrance to the dance. Take advantage of this opportunity and avoid standing in line!
It's Phield Phollies Time Again! The science department would like to remind/inform teachers, staff, and parents that the annual "Phield Phollies" will take place on the half-day scheduled for Friday, May 18th. All students in both chemistry and physics classes will be participating during this time, excepting those students that are signed up for the Human Geography AP exam.

A team of Panther Olympians participated in the 2012 Jeffco Special Olympics held at Jeffco Stadium on Tuesday, May 1st. The Pomona Panthers competed against other Jeffco high school teams, and the Panthers performed with pride and spirit on their way to earning many ribbons and several first place finishes. Congratulations to the Panthers!

Pomona’s Choirs were invited to the Cavalcade of Music in Colorado Springs in late April and earned high praise and several honors. Congratulations to all of our Singing Panthers!
The Advanced Photography Students Show Friday, May 4th from 7-10pm is the opening for "Perception". A photography collection that is being presented by our advanced photography students. It is at Two Rivers Coffee, off of 77th. It would be wonderful if you could stop by. The kids are really excited and would love to see you there!

Availability
The Colorado Department of Education requires all school districts to notify parents and the community about the availability of the district's annual report.
The 2010-11 Annual Report is now available on the district's website. Also, attached is a notification letter provided by CDE in both English and Spanish.

The Pomona wrestling team would like to thank everyone who has supported the team throughout the year.
Pomona Students did an amazing job at the Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference held at the DTC Marriott 2/10 to 2/12/2012. Corrina Briggs was re-elected as State President. Pomona Students also won 1st Place in the Castle Ballistics and Prepared Presentations. Even more Pomona had 2nd Place finishes in Project Showcase and Promotional Design. Congratulations to Pomona High School Family and Consumer Science teacher Jenny Kirchner for being named Colorado’s Outstanding New Family and Consumer Sciences Professional 2012. She was nominated for the award by staff members and students at Pomona, and she is now eligible for the national-level award.
Pomona student Eddie Thomas was honored to spend a few minutes with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow earlier this season. Congratulations to Eddie and a big thank you to Tim Tebow.
