Honors for Pomona Vocalists!
Pomona’s entire vocal department competed this weekend in the national music competition, Music In The Parks. Six Pomona choirs competed and came home with five 1st place trophies, one 2nd place trophy and Pomona received the honor of being the most professional/appropriate group of students at the competition....congratulations to our students and Ms. Beth Etter-Olsen for representing the vocal music department and Pomona High School.

A New Jefferson County Public Schools Conduct Code (JCPSCC) for 2012-2013 - Parents & Students, starting this school year, the Jefferson County Schools Conduct Code is only available as an electronic document. There are two places on the Pomona High School Web Site where the JCPSCC can be accessed: in the red banner from the main page there are two pull-down menus for Parents or Students. Select either menu and choose Pomona Conduct Code. Please read the following information that has been provided by the Jefferson County School District.
The Jefferson County Public Schools Conduct Code has been prepared to provide you with information relating to your rights and responsibilities. In order for our policies and procedures to have the greatest possible positive effect, we need your cooperation.
This year the Conduct Code is being distributed electronically only and can be accessed at http://www.jeffcopublicschools.org/publications/conduct_code.pdf. This link to the Conduct Code link can also be found on the Pomona High School website. It is your, and/or your student’s, responsibility to become familiar with the contents of the Conduct Code. If you do not have access to the internet at home, you can access the Conduct Code at school by contacting the main office at 303.982.0710. The school has created the following option at school to access the Conduct Code and can assist you.
The following option to access the Conduct Code at school is available: Pomona High School will provide computer access to any parent who wants to view the conduct code. Please call the main office to request this option.
The school will also do instruction and training with your student concerning the Conduct Code to ensure that students are aware of the contents of the Conduct Code and understand their rights and responsibilities. If you have any questions, please contact Pomona High School at 303-982-0710.

The Colorado Department of Education requires all school districts to notify parents and the community about the availability of the district's annual report. The 2010-11 Annual Report is now available on the district's website. Also, attached is a notification letter provided by CDE in both English and Spanish. Parents and staff who are looking for additional information about school performance can also view the Colorado Department of Education's SchoolView Website.
